We’re thrilled to present Paatos at this year’s Midsummer Prog Festival! Formed in Stockholm in 2000 by ex-Landberk members Reine Fiske and Stefan Dimle, alongside Ricard “Huxflux” Nettermalm, Johan Wallén, and later vocalist Petronella Nettermalm, Paatos crafts a mesmerizing blend of progressive rock and melancholic post-rock. Influenced by the likes of Portishead and Pink Floyd, their sound evolved from the ethereal Timeloss (2002) to the heavier Silence of Another Kind (2006), mixed by Steven Wilson of Porcupine Tree fame. After a hiatus, they returned in 2024 with new singles, signaling a vibrant resurgence. Known for their cinematic live performances, Paatos will bring their haunting melodies and dynamic energy to Maastricht this May—a prog gem not to be missed!
