These Norwegians will take you on an adventurous trip through a fantastically composed musical landscape in which technique, emotion and surrender come together. The songs will creep up on you after several listening sessions and won't let go. Live, the band guarantees a heavy and string tight performance with creative excesses to lick your fingers at.

Originally a duo, dark progressive art-rock outfit Antimatter has been the solo project of singer-songwriter/founder-member Mick Moss since 2005 and the subsequent release of the breakthrough album 'Leaving Eden'. Since then, the album 'The Judas Table' was declared 'Album Of The Decade' by Dead Rhetoric, promo video 'The Third Arm' was nominated for Prog Awards 'Video of The Year' and Moss also found the time to moonlight his signature baritone vocal onto the official Armenian Number 1 single 'Broken Smile' (The Beautified Project).

Now over 20 years since Antimatter's formation, and 7 studio albums in, there seems to be no sign of slowing down. Back for 2022, and after a two-year live absence, Moss' project returns to the concert arena with a career-spanning set for Midsummer Prog and an electric band made up of past and present Antimatter album session musicians.

Canadian progressive rock band Mystery was founded in 1986 by multi-instrumentalist Michel St-Père. The band made their debut in 2013 in the Netherlands. Since then, our country is never missing in Mystery's tour schedule and these sympathetic musicians have been able to build a loyal fan base. Highly recommended for fans of neo-prog bands like Arena, Ayreon, IQ, and Frost*!

For more than fifteen years, RPWL have been an integral part of the global artrock scene and have become an integral part of the world's stages. Originally founded in 1997 as Pink Floyd Coverband, RPWL has since gradually developed into the spearhead of the German Artrock. Here, virtuosity meets the joy of playing!

Having racked up a lot of interest on home soil after previous albums Here Comes The Sun and Unplugged, Klone are now looking to focus on and extend their international operations. They’ve performed in the UK with cult grunge heroes King’s X and French metal titans Gojira, toured with Devin Townsend and landed supports for Helmet, Orphaned Land and Anneke Van Giersbergen.

Perfect Storm is a new progressive rock band from the Netherlands. They released their first album 'No Air' on Glassville Records in 2021.

The band consists of highly skilled, experienced musicians who founded the band 3 years ago in Groningen, The Netherlands. Together they have created an adventurous mix of styles, called Perfect Storm.

About The Location

Valkenburg aan de Geul is located in the south-eastern Dutch province of Limburg. Sieges and conquests have been the recurrent theme in the history of Valkenburg, especially in connection with Valkenburg castle, seat of the counts of Valkenburg (or Falkenburg). Valkenburg is no longer a fortified town but it has largely retained its historical charm. These days Valkenburg is especially known for its many tourist attractions, its chalk houses (locally called mergel or marl) and the attractive hilly countryside.

There will be a security check at the entrance to ensure your own safety and the safety of others.

The Midsummer Prog Festival applies to all daily social standards and values. Abusive language, (sexual) intimidation, discrimination etc will not be tolerated.

On the Midsummer Prog Festival it is forbidden:

to bring drinks and food packages etc.;
to bring professional film/video/photo camera’s without a permission;
to spread leaflets, folders etc without permission;
to bring any kind of drugs, weapons, fireworks etc.

Alcohol will not be served to those under 18 years of age.

All festival visitors should be able to display a proper ID if asked for.
